MiLaysia Fulwiley

W.J. Keenan High School girls basketball player MiLaysia Fulwiley will play in the 2023 McDonald’s All American Game on March 28.

A girls varsity basketball player at W.J. Keenan High School has been selected as one of the top players in the country to showcase at the 2023 McDonald’s All American Games in March.

The top 48 girls and boys high school basketball players in the country are selected to show off their talents on a prestigious national platform for the games. MiLaysia Fulwiley, a senior at W.J. Keenan, is the only South Carolina player selected for the McDonald’s All American Games this year and only the sixth girls basketball player from South Carolina to ever be selected.

“I’m so excited that I’ve accomplished this goal,” said Fulwiley. “I feel like all of my hard work and dedication has paid off. I can’t wait to go out there and do what I do best in front of the crowd.”

The games will be played March 28 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

“This is a goal a lot of high school athletes want to reach,” said W.J. Keenan Head Girls Basketball Coach Reggie McLain. “MiLaysia is a great team player and is very humble. Her teammates really look up to her as an athlete and a person.”

Fulwiley will further her education and play basketball at the University of South Carolina after graduating high school this year.
