The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle suspected to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
The fatal collision happened on around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol, and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian on Interstate 77 near Forest Drive.
The fatal hit and run involved a pedestrian and a car on I - 77 near mile marker 12 (the Forest Drive exit.)
The suspected vehicle was moving south on I-77 when it struck a pedestrian, the left the scene, according to Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian died on scene. There may be damage to one of the headlights of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian.
