Two pedestrians were killed in the 900 block of Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, Thursday. The accident occurred around 6 p.m.

Scott Morrison assistant chief of the West Columbia Police Department, said first a pedestrian was hit. Then the driver of another vehicle, who saw the accident stopped and got out of the car to render aid to the pedestrian. The driver helping was also struck and killed.

The West Columbia Police Department issued a Traffic Alert Thursday evening.

It asked motorists to please avoid the 900 block of Sunset Boulevard, All lanes were blocked. The WCPD was working an accident involving pedestrians. Both pedestrians that were struck by vehicles are deceased.
