Two people died in a two-vehicle crash in Lexington County Tuesday morning.

The incident happened after 8 a.m. and is being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol, said Master Trooper David Jones. The accident occurred on US 321 (Savannah Highway) in Lexington County.

According to a highway patrol report the crash was on a two-lane road near the Lexington/Orangeburg County line south of Swansea. 

In addition to the fatalities, another person was taken to the hospital with injuries.
