Richland County Coroner Gary Watts, on Tueaday, identified a Columbia man whose body was found in a wooded area about 4: p.m. Monday.

The body of Tony Artess Edmonds, Sr., 49, was discovered near his home in the 1800 block of Barbara Drive, near Two Notch Road and I-77.

There were no signs of trauma on the body, according to the sheriff’s department.

The death is being investigated by the sheriff’s department and the coroner’s office.
