Mrs. Bobbye Williams Munn, 91, went home to be with Jesus Friday evening, January 29, 2021 after a short time of declining health. Born in Chunky, Mississippi on May 1, 1929 to Robert and Bernice Williams, she was also raised there with her three sisters. On September 12, 1946, she married her sweetheart, Lee Munn and they later moved to Columbia, SC to live and start a family.

Bobbye had a very strong faith, and was a charter member of Ravenwood Baptist Church in Columbia. She was a loyal, attending member until her health no longer allowed her go. She was a shining example of a Christian woman to her family, friends, and people in the community. She had a very generous spirit and a servant’s heart, always willing to help those in need.

Bobbye was a talented beautician, owning her own “Bobbye’s Beauty Shop” for many years before retiring to enjoy life with her husband and family.

Bobbye is predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Lee Munn, and a precious great-grandson, Beckett Park. She is survived by her two children, Mike Munn of Manning, SC and Vicki Gibson of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Justin Munn (Jill) of Aiken, SC, Tara Park (Eric) of Rock Hill, SC, Alyson Wilder (Matthew) of Blythewood, SC, and Elizabeth Gunter (Kacy) of Darlington, SC; and great-grandchildren, Haley Munn, Micheal Munn, Connor Wilder, Carter Munn, Brynn Park, Lincoln Gunter, Delaney Wilder, Liza Gunter, and Tillman Gunter.

There will be a private graveside memorial service for the family, led by Reverend Larry Shull of Ravenwood Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Angela and Lakasha of AGAPE Hospice for giving Bobbye, and all of us, such excellent and compassionate care.

Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. Memorials may be sent to Ravenwood Baptist Church, 3545 Raven Hill Rd, Columbia, SC 29204, in memory of Bobbye Munn.
