Linda Delane Wells Douglas, of Blythewood, died Saturday, January 9, 2021. Born January 1, 1962, in Richland County, she was the daughter of Mary Wells and the late Robert Wells. Ms. Douglas worked for William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 27 years, until her retirement in 2015. She loved the Lord and demonstrated this love to those around her. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, William Leigh of Union and Christopher Douglas of Blythewood; mother, Mary Wells of Blythewood; sisters, Brenda Palmer (Preston) of Columbia and Carol Lambdin (Jim) of Blythewood; brother, Todd Wells (Mary Anne) of Blythewood; as well as many nieces and a great niece and nephew.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13th at the Gilmore family cemetery located on Caughman Road in Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, is assisting the family.

Everyone is invited to attend but will be asked to abide by the state’s recommendations of wearing masks and social distancing to provide a safe environment for all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.
