(Wilma) Janet Rasberry Daniels, 76, of Gaston, passed quietly away, on the evening of November 26, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilmington, NC on February 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Jay and Gladys Pearl Little Rasberry. Janet was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Gaston.

Her family was the joy of her life, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. It made her so very happy to see pictures from the recent (2019) Little Family Reunion featuring 5 generations of Little-Daniels-Buchanan-Allen women. Janet was a major Gamecock fan & a NASCAR enthusiast and she loved her "babies", fuzzy and otherwise. A quiet and unassuming woman, she never liked being in the spotlight, but was lovingly supportive of her family in all of their varied endeavors.

She is survived by siblings, Peggy R. Patterson, Alvin Rasberry (Carol) and Catherine Walters (Jack), all of Charlotte, NC; children, Franklin R. Buchanan (Shannon), and Lisa J. Buchanan, both of Columbia SC; grandchildren, Nina M. Buchanan-Allen (Elihu Allen), of Virginia Beach, VA, and Christopher L. Buchanan, of Fort Collins, CO; and great grandchildren Hunter P. Alcares, Emmalee A. Allen, Alira R. Buchanan, Evelynn G. Allen; step-great grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Allen, Demitria E. Allen, Trinity D. Allen, Alexia M. Allen, Annalise J. Allen; and lots of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jonas Boston “JB” Daniels; sister, Amie R. Fouts; nephew, Brian Gray; and niece, Margaret G. Blake.

There will be a viewing and receiving of friends and family on the evening of Friday, November 29th from 5 until 7 o’clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.

The funeral service for Mrs. Daniels will be held Saturday, November 30th at First Baptist Church of Gaston, 121 Oakey Springs Drive, Gaston, SC, with Rev. Rex D. Simmons officiating. The service will begin at 3:00 pm, with open casket viewing from 2-3 prior for anyone unable to attend Friday. Following the service, there will be a brief graveside service in the cemetery directly behind the church. Following immediately after, the church will be providing a dinner in the fellowship hall for family and friends to celebrate and honor Mrs. Daniels.
