Mr. Cecil Stevens, Jr., 91, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, died Friday, December 11, 2020. Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he was a son of the late Cecil and Mary Jane Stevens and married to Bernice Pumphrey Stevens. Mr. Stevens entered the US Army at the end of WWII and served two tours of duty in Korea, a tour of duty in Vietnam, and then retired from the military in 1968. He also retired from the United States Postal Service. He was proud of serving his country. Hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Masons, Shiners, and Scottish Rite.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Cecil Stevens, III, (Sandra), Mary Jane Page (William), and Brenda Brazell (Jack); five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Jean Pace (Bill); dear friends, Vernon and Minie Bradham.

A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, December 16th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:30 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. All are welcome to attend; however, masks are required, and social distancing is enforced to maintain a safe environment for all.
