Easter is right around the corner and local churches are gearing up to host services for guests and members to safely attend in 2021. It is a tradition for some churches to hold sunrise services specifically on Easter Sunday, many of them outdoors, so guests can see the sun as it rises while the sermon takes place.

Below is a list of outdoor sunrise services local churches and organizations will be holding across the Midlands on Easter Sunday, April 4.

Blythewood:

-Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Boney Road, 8 a.m., outdoors

-Village Church, 574 Rimer Pond Road, 7:30 a.m., outdoors

Chapin:

-Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, 925 Sugar Mill Road, 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m.

-Chapin Baptist Church, 950 Old Lexington Highway, 7 a.m., at Hewitt pavilion

-St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 900 Dreher Island Road, 6:30 a.m. in cemetery.

-Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, 101 E Boundary St., 7:30 a.m. in parking lot across from church

Columbia:

-Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, 7 a.m.

-First Presbyterian Columbia, 1324 Marion Street, 7 a.m.

Irmo:

-Victory Bible Baptist Church, 10245 Broad River Road, 7 a.m.

-Grace United Methodist Church, 410 Harbison Boulevard, 6:30 a.m.

Lexington:

-The Church at White Knoll, 127 Taylor Lane, 7 a.m.

-Life Springs Worship Center, 5630 Platt Springs Road, 6:45 a.m.

-Calvary Chapel Fellowship, 1156 Barr Road, 7 a.m.

-Willow Ridge Church, 104 Sycamore Tree Road, 7:30 a.m.

-Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, 6 a.m., pre-registration required, contact church to register at 803-359-3495, indoors

-Lexington Baptist, services at Blowfish baseball stadium, 474 Ball Park Road, 9 a.m., 11 a.m.

-Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1430 N. Lake Drive, 8:30 a.m.

-Oakwood Baptist Church, 3520 Mineral Springs Road, 7 a.m.

West Columbia/Cayce

West Columbia Riverwalk, 109 Alexander Road, 7 a.m.
