A new business offering kids a chance to learn computer coding skills in some of the most fun ways imaginable is officially open for business in Lexington.

Code Ninjas hosted a grand opening event at its new home on Sunset Blvd. Saturday, giving kids and their parents a chance to check out STEM activities, games, deals, prizes and more.

Code Ninjas Lexington is the newest of hundreds of franchises for the company in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. All share the same mission: teaching kids ages 7-14 to code through building their own video games. The young coders gain problem solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.

Saturday’s grand opening gave kids a sneak peek with free game-building preview sessions.

Code Ninjas will offer camps in person and virtually beginning Monday, including a virtual camp focused on the popular Minecraft game.

More information is available at the Code Ninjas Lexington Facebook page.
