Free, live music with a view will soon be back in West Columbia.

Rhythm on the River, the popular annual concert series, will be returning this year after being cancelled in 2020.

"We are so excited to bring back this great event to our community," Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber President and CEO Tim James said. "It's a wonderful family event that we have missed. The views and the music are something you can't miss."

The concerts are held at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater (109 Alexander Rd.), situated along the Congaree River. The series will begin Friday, Oct. 8, and continue each Friday throughout the month. Concerts run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and leashed pets are welcome. Free parking is available at the parking garage at 310 Court Ave., Carraway Park at 212 Hudson St., 425 Meeting St., and Capitol Square Lot at 483 Sunset Blvd.
