A mixed-use community will be the newest addition in West Columbia within the next year.

Estates & Companies announced that 4West, will break ground in October.

4West will consist of 52 designer residences and approximately 15,000 sq.ft. of commercial space. The building was designed by Steinberg Dickey Collaborative and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and the West Steps which will have amphitheater style seating for residents to enjoy.

The development's residential community will feature studio, one and two-bedroom residences. A variety of floorplans will be offered including dress-in closets, kitchens with dual-hued cabinetry, quartz countertops, in-home technology and spa-inspired bathrooms.

Amenities include a skyline terrace with a contemporary outdoor kitchen, a fitness center, courtyard, bike share and storage, a refresh center with a coffee bar, and a saltwater pool.

“Our team is honored to have been selected to market the available commercial space at Four West" said Roger K Winn Jr, partner at Trinity Partners. "Estates & Companies will have without doubt created the preeminent mixed-use development in our market with the offered amenity package, parking, unique location and unmatched views of the Congaree River and Columbia skyline.”

Brookland and 4West are home to Black Rooster, Gentleman’s Quarter Barbershop, Select Physical Therapy and The WRKT and within walking distance to Riverwalk Park & Amphitheater. Local businesses in walking distance include Al's Upstairs, Terra Cafe, Palate, The Hideout and Savage Craft Ale Works.

“In 2004, the city began purchasing the property that makes up the 4-acre site that now houses The Brookland development," said West Columbia mayor Tem Miles. "The property was bought in order to provide a transformative project for West Columbia. That is exactly what Estates and Company have delivered. When the new 4West building is completed at Brookland, a plan for revitalization that was put in place almost 20 years earlier will be complete. I am thankful for all that the Brookland development has brought to our city so far and so excited to see its completion with the beautiful 4 West building.”

Additional information on the project is available online.
