Officials from the Midlands Crafters Association will be hosting a free family-friendly event for the community this weekend, March 20 and 21.

The group will hold its annual 2021 Spring Arts and Crafts Market Extravaganza at the SC State Farmer's Market. There will be more than 100 vendors, crafters and local businesses from across the Midlands. Items available will include jewelry, children's clothing and accessories, pottery, artwork, photography, woodworking, handbags, Christmas crafts, ornaments, wreaths, and items to spruce up the home and garden for the spring season.

In addition to offering local artisan crafts, the event also acts as a fundraiser. A silent auction will be held during the craft show, with proceeds contributing to the total fundraising amount. Prisma Health Children's Hospital has been chosen as the receiving charity. A selection of items from vendors along with additional donations from the community will be in the silent auction to benefit the hospital.

The Spring Arts & Crafts Market will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Parking and admission are free.

The South Carolina State Farmers Market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway, West Columbia. Any questions or requests for additional information can be emailed to
