The Lexington Police Department (LPD) announced Monday that an arrest was made after an allegation of children being assaulted at a daycare facility in the Town of Lexington. It was reported by the facility's administrator.

An investigation began Jul. 12 regarding an employee Harvest Daycare, located on Whiteford Way in Lexington.

Breanna Marie Audette, 23, of Irmo, was alleged to have assaulted children who were in her care, according to LPD.

Upon reviewing security footage recorded within the daycare, detectives found that Audette had aggressively grabbed children by the arm, neck and face and in one incident, pushed a child to the ground.

Audette was arrested Jul. 15, and was charged with fourteen counts of unlawful conduct towards a child. She was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center and and was given a bond of $14,000.

This is an ongoing investigation with the South Carolina Department of Social Services and the Lexington Police Department.
