South Carolina’s first ever drive-thru State Fair begins Tuesday and guests are certainly in for a new experience.

Fairgoers will enter their vehicles at the North Gate by the rocket on Rosewood Drive and maneuver throughout the fairgrounds past the Heath, Ellison, Goodman and Cantey buildings, then past the cattle area. Vehicles will continue down the path and exit from the opposite side of the entrance at the rocket.

Exhibits will include antique and new fire trucks, a circus exhibit, plant and flower displays, student art and more.

The separate fair food drive-thru will begin at gate six from George Rogers Blvd. Guests will be directed to one of six lines, each having the same food options.

Seven food trucks will be set up in each line where attendants will safely greet each vehicle.

Visitors will not be allowed to exit their vehicles and once food has been purchased, guests will be directed to exit through gate ten.

The drive-thru state fair will take place Tuesday and Wednesday with free admission and the drive-thru fair food lines will be open from Tuesday through Saturday.
