Valentine’s Day is around the corner and The South Carolina State Museum is hosting the ultimate date night for lovebirds of the Midlands. The experience called Amore Under the Stars will be held Friday, Feb. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Guests will have the chance to take a romantic tour through the SCSM galleries, view a special planetarium show, and journey through South Carolina history as storytellers narrate the experience. A planetarium show will be on display at the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium. Live music, dance demonstrations and a champagne bar with food will also be included in the evening’s itinerary.
The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes will also be open for the evening. Guests can transport to Sherlock Holmes’ London to solve a crime using Holmes’ methods in an innovation and experimentation-filled world, for an additional charge.
Tickets for Amore Under the Stars are $35 for the general public ($43 with the Sherlock Holmes exhibit), and $28 for museum members ($35 with the Sherlock Holmes exhibit). Tickets include all activities, including food from Anna Cline Catering, wine and beer and a souvenir champagne flute. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit scmuseum.org.
