The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will reopen for guests to visit Saturday at 10 a.m. The museum has been closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The museum will have new hours of operation Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and will remain closed Sunday and Monday until further notice. “Dollar Sundays” will also be postponed until further notice.

Additional precautions have been set in place to ensure the safety of museum visitors and staff during the phased reopening.

Only 60 visitors will be allowed into the museum at a time and guests are asked to wear protective masks in the museum. All museum staff will wear protective masks.

All in-person tours and programs will remain canceled, however, some programs will be conducted online through the museum’s e-learning resources.

The gift shop will also remain closed until further notice.
