Adults 21 and up can soon enjoy Riverbanks Zoo and Garden's Hoppy Hour at the Zoo.

The event will be held June 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. Guests will be able to eat, drink and wander through the zoo while soaking in the sights and sounds of Riverbanks after-hours. Proceeds support the zoo's role in animal and plant care, and wildlife conservation.

Domestic and craft beers along with select wines will be available for purchase at various locations across the facility. Food can be purchased throughout the evening at Base Camp Provisions, Cones, Kodiak Point, Tuskers, Watering Hole and Wild Burger.

Timed reservations are required and must be made in advance online. The reservations are available for 6, 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for Riverbanks members and $15 for the general public. Each ticket purchase will also include one drink.

No one under 21 will be admitted, according to zoo officials. Event parking and park entry will be available on the zoo side only at 500 Wildlife Parkway in Columbia.
