Midlands foodies will have the chance to explore local dining options over the next 11 days while participating in Restaurant Week.

As of Thursday, select local restaurants will participate in the SC Restaurant & Lodging Association's (SCRLA) annual event to bring value lunch and dinner options to diners. Specials and deals will last through Jan. 17.

The goal of Restaurant Week is to highlight local restaurants and the variety which they offer. Restaurant week also stimulates business and revenue for these local establishments. The SCRLA encourages the community to dine at the participating restaurants to keep them alive, especially after the impact of the pandemic on small businesses.

Tickets are not required to dine at any of the restaurants, however reservations are recommended. Take-out options will also be available.

Some of the restaurants participating include: 1801 Grille, Black Rooster, Catch Seafood, Kao Thai Cuisine, Lizard's Thicket, Za's Brick Oven Pizza and more.

View a full list of participating restaurants and read additional information on Restaurant Week's website.
