Pawmetto Lifeline is hosting an emergency adoption Friday through Sunday. A transport for 13 large dogs from two kill shelters in the Midlands were scheduled to be taken to a location up north, however it was canceled.
The dogs have now been added to Pawmetto Lifeline’s adoption program in hopes they will find a forever home. The company's adoption facility is at capacity with zero kennels available for these dogs. They are currently homed in the shelter’s indoor dog park in crates while they wait to be adopted.
Homes are needed for the dogs by Monday in order to avoid euthanasia. Dogs weighing more than 35 pounds have a $75 adoption fee.
Adoption fees include up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing, spay/neuter, microchip with free registration, de-wormer and a starting dose of flea and heartworm prevention medication.
A list of adoptable dogs and additional information are available on Pawmetto Lifeline’s website.
