Columbia's Lourie Center is in search of a Spanish language instructor to become part of the facility's staff.

The nonprofit organization is a community activity center for senior, active adults, ages 50 and older.

Located across from UofSC behind Maxcy Gregg park and pool, the Lourie Center hosts activities including physical fitness classes, a variety of educational classes and social events.

The preferred candidate is an individual who is a native Spanish speaker, organized, personable, with some experience teaching and interested in working with older adults.

Courses include: Spanish one (basic) and possibly Spanish two (conversational). Classes meet once per week for an hour.

Courses last approximately eight to ten weeks at a time, with courses repeated throughout the year.

Potential employee schedule is negotiable however it is preferred the hire begins in September.
