Scattered rain showers, flooding, and heavy, gusty winds wreaked havoc throughout the Midlands early Monday morning.

The aftermath of the storm is still impacting the Midlands. City of West Columbia officials reported on Twitter Tuesday that a section of the West Columbia Riverwalk is blocked due to flooding. The portion of the Riverwalk from Moffatt Street to the Gervais Street bridge is temporarily closed.

There is no word yet as to when it will reopen to the public.
