The mops have barely been put away at Five Points businesses, and they may be needed again.

Heavy rain Saturday led to flooding in the Columbia neighborhood's streets and swamped several businesses, and more thunderstorms were in the forecast for Monday afternoon and evening.

Saturday's rain led to water rising up to the level of car doors along Harden Street and Santee Avenue, with businesses temporarily locking their doors until it subsided.

No significant damage was reported,  though owners and employees spent hours cleaning up the mess.

Columbia police reminded drivers never to drive into flooded areas and to avoid those areas until water recedes.
