Halloween season is here, and EdVenture Children's Museum in Columbia is taking part in the festivities during "Spooky Saturdays."

The museum will be offering healthy and safe Halloween fun for the whole family to enjoy, featuring spooky science shows, pumpkin crafts, monster-mash maze, and more.

“We are looking to do things a little different this year, said Lisa Hailey, President & CEO of EdVenture. By offering Halloween themed programming for several days in place of a one-day, large scale event like Halloween Hoopla, we are hoping to reach families looking for a safe alternative to celebrate. We want to provide a small sense of normalcy and fun for our community while maintaining a healthy and safe learning environment for all guests.”

Children and parents are encouraged to dress in their Halloween best. CDC-approved face coverings are required to enter for adults and children over 3-years-old, and must be worn for the entirety of the visit.

A limited number of tickets will be available for each play session to maintain social distancing. Advanced ticket sales are strongly encouraged through the museum's website.

Available play times are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, or 1 to 4 p.m. EdVenture is located at 211 Gervais St.
