It's almost time to head back to school, and EdVenture Children's Museum is holding an annual event to help rising kindergartners know what to expect on their first day.

EdVenture's Countdown to Kindergarten celebration will be held Friday, Aug. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, allowing families with rising kindergartners to visit the museum, collect school supplies, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

There will be booths staffed with a variety of museum partners including local education advocates, health care providers, and more across the facility.

"For over 15 years EdVenture has hosted the Celebration of Countdown to Kindergarten event to highlight the milestone of starting school. Last year’s event was a new challenge, being online and the EdVenture Team is very thankful to all of our friends and supporters who joined us for the virtual event. We look forward to meeting everyone in person again for this year's Celebration of Countdown to Kindergarten," said Marc Drews, Vice President of Mission and Strategic Partnerships.

Advanced registration is required through the museum's website. EdVenture requires masks for everyone ages 3 and up.
