Defending state champions Dutch Fork and Hammond School lead the way among eight Midlands teams who appear in this week’s respective prep football polls.

The Silver Foxes (2-0-1) remain atop the S.C. Prep Football Media rankings in Class 5A. They are currently riding a 29-game undefeated streak and travel to Blythewood Friday looking to extend a 19-game road winning streak.

Joining Dutch Fork in the Class 5A poll is River Bluff (3-0) in eighth place.

The other ranked teams are A.C. Flora (seventh) in Class 4A, Camden (third) and Gilbert (seventh) in Class 3A and Gray Collegiate (ninth) in Class 2A.

In SCISA, Hammond School is number one in Class 3A and Heathwood Hall is tied for fifth. Ben Lippen received votes in the poll as well.
