Columbia Fire Department second shift crews on the Tower 9 and Engine 2 fire trucks arrived at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center Wednesday morning for a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony.

Members of many other agencies were at the ceremony, including the Columbia Police Department and the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Representatives from the Columbia Police Department posted a tweet Wednesday morning: “Chief Holbrook, Deputy Chief Kelly & members of the #CPDSC Command Staff are at Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center honoring the lives lost on the #911Anniversary.”

Portions of Lincoln Street were blocked due to the event.
