Fort Jackson's Commanding General Milford Beagle Jr. announced via Twitter Wednesday evening that the base hosted a special visitor this week.
According to Beagle, actor Michael B. Jordan "dropped in" at Fort Jackson and spent four days on base to prepare for a movie.
It was not confirmed what movie Jordan was preparing for, but multiple sources have referenced his leading role in Without Remorse, based on a Tom Clancy novel, scheduled to be released in 2021.
Without Remorse is described as an action thriller, where US Navy SEAL John Clark goes on a path of vengeance to solve his wife's murder.
Beagle said in his tweet he was glad they could show Jordan Army hospitality and the training excellence at Fort Jackson.
Jordan is known for his roles in movies like Creed, Fruitvale Station, and Black Panther. People Magazine also named him the "2020 Sexiest Man Alive."
