The second annual Showcase at Lexington High School Saturday saw the visiting Columbia schools come away with victories.
In the opener, fifth ranked Class 4A A.C. Flora pulled off a 45-43 buzzer-beating victory over second ranked Class 5A Dutch Fork.
Robert Mccray scored 18 points to earn Game MVP honors. It was his steal of the Silver Foxes' inbound pass with four seconds left and pass to a streaking J.B. Moore who hit a left-handed layup as time expired that sealed the Falcons' fifth straight win.
Moore and Riches McDaniel each had eight points for A.C. Flora (12-2). Jarvis Green led Dutch Fork (8-3) with 10 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter and J.T. Renner finished with nine.
The Silver Foxes will try to snap their three-game skid Monday at home versus North Augusta. A.C. Flora will play its final non-region game Tuesday at Columbia.
The second contest saw defending Class 3A boys champion W.J.Keenan hold off Cross Creek (Ga.) 58-54.
Jazian Gortman has 27 points and Raekwon Horton added 20 to lead the top-ranked Raiders (9-6). They next travel to Fairfield-Central on Friday.
Kobe Stewart led the Razorbacks (12-4) with 27 points and Corey Trotter added 11.
