The 31st annual North-South All-Star Game is headed to Lexington County.

Sponsored by the SC Baseball Coaches Association, Tuesday’s event will take place at two locations starting at 1 p.m. and feature four teams.

The North Midlands team will face the South Pee Dee team at Lexington High School, while the North Upstate team will face the South Lowcountry team at Gilbert High School.

Fresh off winning state titles, catcher Ashby Vining and assistant coach Jimmy Frost of Class 3A champion Gilbert and catcher Max Childress of Class 4A champion AC Flora were selected to represent the North Midlands team.

Joining Vining and Childress on the player roster are Will Taylor and Jay Metts (both of Dutch Fork), Matthew Becker (Chapin), Dylan Johnson (White Knoll), Ethan Lebron (River Bluff), Watson Saunders and Tyler Dooley (both of Blythewood), Will Morris (Lugoff-Elgin) and Wells Sykes and Ryan Toll (both of Lexington).

The North Midlands coaching staff will include Frost and head coaches Jimmy Bouknight (Batesburg-Leesville) and Tim Perry (Airport).

The winners of the All-Star games will face each other at 5 p.m. at Lexington, while the losing teams will meet at Gilbert.
