As part of the Corley Mill at Sunset Boulevard Gateway Improvements in Lexington, a new traffic flow pattern became effective last Friday.

The change diverts drivers exiting the I-20 westbound ramp (Exit 61) who wish to access Ginny Lane.

That traffic must now make a right turn at the Sunset Boulevard traffic signal. The Lexington Police Department announced the change.

The improvements also include road striping and directional arrows installed to increase the left turn line on Sunset Blvd. westbound for drivers turning onto Ginny Lane.

Modifications and signage will be added to the traffic signal for the new traffic movement.

Lexington Police are asking motorists to please be alert because the changes will require drivers to adjust and learn the new traffic pattern. Driver affected are those exiting the interstate to travel into Lexington, turning right onto Corley Mill Road or making a left turn onto Ginny Lane.
