Blythewood residents who want to shop local for holiday gifts and treats will find nearly countless options at the Farmers Market’s second annual Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at Doko Park.

More than 50 vendors are expected to participate, offering crafts and handmade items such as original artwork, woodworking, furniture, jewelry, goat milk soap, aprons and embroidered towels, leather goods, custom tumblers and T-shirts, hair and skin products, patio and landscape sculptures, notebooks, puzzle books and more. Locally produced food items to sample on site or take home as gifts include barbecue, pizza, desserts, candies, cookies, breads, muffins, scones, hot sauces, grits and other ground grains.

Doko Park is located at 100 Alvina Hagood Circle, off Langford Road in Blythewood. More information is available at blythewoodfarmersmarket.com.

Also on Nov. 20 in the Blythewood area, Doko Farm will host a Harvest Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market will offer local, sustainably-grown, pasture-raised heritage meats, and organic vegetables. The event will feature several local artisans selling holiday cards and other original art, organic grits, other locally milled products, and baked goods including cakes whole and by the slice. Visitors also can view heritage breed livestock in the pastures and enjoy autumn at the farm.
