Blythewood area residents have two opportunities to spruce up their gardens or front steps for fall in the coming days.

Richland Library Blythewood will host a fall plant swap from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the library’s patio.

Gardeners are invited to bring up to five healthy, established plants to swap with their neighbors. Plants should be separated and in labeled containers. The Blythewood library is at 218 McNulty Street.

Mums are the word the following Saturday, Oct. 2, when Blythewood Presbyterian Church partners with Bruce's Greenhouses for a fall mum sale. Shoppers can choose from mums in a variety of colors from 9 a.m. to noon in the church’s pavilion at 441 Rimer Pond Road.
