Kershaw County Coroner David West has identified a woman who was killed in a car crash early Saturday morning.

Maggie Ann Long, 38, of Bishopville was traveling north on on U.S. 1 and Malvern Hill Drive, near Camden, when her Toyota SUV was struck from behind. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 3:55 a.m.

Two passengers also in the vehicle that was hit were transferred to a Columbia hospital, said West. The driver of the vehicle that struck Long was not injured.

The driver of a Chevy Tahoe that hit Long’s SUV, identified as 31-year-old Marlon Tramaine Williams, allegedly drove away from the scene. He was later located and he is facing charges of felony DUI involving death, 2 counts of felony DUI involving great bodily injury, and one count of leaving the scene of a collision.

Williams was booked at the Kershaw County jail.

The crash is being investigated by Highway Patrol.
