RIVER BLUFF 36 LUGOFF-ELGIN 19
Braden Walker had 198 yards and a couple of touchdowns as the Gators pulled away late from the Demons. The game was fairly close until midway through the third when River Bluff put together some big plays in both the passing and running game. Jackson Stone had only 240 yards through three games but had 211 yards with two scores on Friday. However, I was most impressed with the Gator defensive line. They stymied the LE rushing attack only allowing 37 yards on the ground total. In the loss, Josh Gary caught his fourth touchdown reception of the season. Will Morris threw for just under 200 yards and accounted for two scores.

FAIRFIELD CENTRAL 18 CALHOUN COUNTY 6
Another low scoring slugfest for Fairfield. I expected them to win a little bigger here but they got good news in the form of Will Barber returning to the lineup. The talented running back had over 1,000 yards last year along with nine touchdowns. He will be the key for the Griffins if they are to compete in region play.

NEWBERRY 31 CHAPIN 14
The Bulldogs might be for real. That is now back to back strong victories in the non-conference. They rushed for over 300 yards on the ground. If this team is running the football like that, the rest of 3A should be on notice. Because with that, Phil Strickland led teams always play excellent defense.

LEXINGTON 35 SOUTH AIKEN 28
Owen Cofer made six tackles and a big interception to seal the win. That was a really nice win for the Wildcats against a quality opponent.

DREHER 42 EAU CLAIRE 12
Dreher needed this one. Not only is it a win, but they scored a ton of points. They had only scored two touchdowns coming into the contest. Micaiah Settles had a couple of touchdowns in the win.

CAMDEN 43 FORT MILL 27
Bulldogs rush for 425 yards as a team. Micah Davis had a career high 191 yards while Willis Lane had 123 and even Quarterback Jafari Pearson eclips

ed the century mark. The game was not even as close as the score indicated, as Fort Mill tacked on a score late in the fourth and even got fornate getting free on a few big plays in second half. Camden is 4-0 heading into a clash with familiar foe and 5A opponent West Florence.

KEENAN 42 CA JOHNSON 6
Raiders get even at 2-2 as Javaris DeSant rushed for over 200 yards and three scores.

NORTHWESTERN 16 RIDGE VIEW 14
Page Wofford gets his first win as first year head coach and puts Ridge View looking at 1-2 heading into a tough road trip to Daniel. Cincere Scott had a long touchdown reception in the loss for the Blazers.

DUTCH FORK 50 BOILING SPRINGS 6
In a game that did not get underway until Saturday, the Silver Foxes had no trouble here. Ty Olenchuck tossed for 230 yards. Jon Hall had 80 yards rushing and a score. The Silver Foxes improve their unbeaten streak to 29 games

BLYTHEWOOD 27 NORTH AUGUSTA 24
Blythewood led 27-10 at one point before North Augusta put on a late rally. Josh Strickland threw three touchdown passes and Chad Ishmael had a pick six in the win.
Bengals are 3-1 just like they were last year. Only difference is, they play Dutch Fork next up instead of Beaufort like in 2018. Gutsy win against a Yellow Jacket team that won 10 games a year ago. These are the kind of road wins that can really build confidence into a team.

SPRING VALLEY 39 RICHLAND NORTHEAST 3
Quanta Jackson had a couple of big catches including a touchdown right before the half and the Vikings rolled over the Cavs to take the Sword and Saber trophy. DeQuandre Smith threw four touchdowns and ran for another. Yashua Nelson had an interception in  the win.
