Last Friday’s 34-24 road win over defending Class 2A champion Saluda helped move Gray Collegiate up in the latest SC Prep Football Media poll.

The undefeated War Eagles (3-0, 3-0) jumped to third in the Class 2A poll. The win over the Tigers clinched a playoff berth for Gray Collegiate as the team travels to Eau Claire looking to claim a share of the Region 3-2A title.

Newberry ranked fourth and North Central received votes in the Class 2A poll.

Despite being inactive the next two weeks due to COVID-19 exposure, Batesburg-Leesville remained in the same poll at ninth.

Camden and AC Flora each ranked fourth in the Class 3A and 4A polls, respectively. The Bulldogs travel to Crestwood, while the Falcons are idle as Lugoff-Elgin had to postpone the contest due to COVID-19.

Undefeated Gilbert also moved up in the Class 3A poll to sixth. The group travels to Johnston to face Strom Thurmond looking to clinch a third Region 5-3A title in four years.

Dutch Fork remained atop the Class 5A standings. The four-time defending Class 5A champions look to extend its streaks of 43 straight games without a loss, 42 straight wins against in-state teams and 26 consecutive region and road wins Friday at Lexington.

Ridge View received votes in the poll after its 38-12 win over Lexington.

CA Johnson was the lone Midlands team to receive votes in Class A.
