Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and here is a list of state, county, and city offices that will be closed or operating on a holiday schedule. 

South Carolina State Buildings and Offices

All South Carolina State Buildings and Offices will be closed, Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, Nov. 25, and the Day After Thanksgiving - Friday, Nov. 26

City of Columbia

City of Columbia's buildings and offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26. 

The City of Columbia's Solid Waste Department will modify its schedule for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Routes usually picked up on Thursdays will be moved to Wednesday, Nov. 24, and pick-up will return to normal on Friday, Nov. 26.

City of West Columbia

The City of West Columbia City Hall will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, and will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.

City of Cayce

City offices will be open Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m. and close early at 1:00 p.m. The offices will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.

Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, Garbage and Recyclables only will be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Town of Chapin

City offices will be open Wednesday, Nov. 25, 9:00 a.m. and close early at noon. The offices will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.

Capital Waste Services will modify its schedule for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Routes that are normally picked up on Thursdays will be moved to Friday, Nov. 26, and Routes that usually are picked up on Friday, Nov. 26, will be moved to Saturday, Nov. 27.

Town of Lexington

Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.

Collections regularly scheduled for Thursday will be made on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, and those scheduled for Friday will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. All other service days will be collected as normal. 

Town of Blythewood

Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.

Richland County provides solid waste and recycling services for the Town of Blythewood. 

Richland County

The county's C&D Landfill and drop-off/recycling centers at Lower Richland and Clemson Road will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Neither garbage nor recyclables nor yard waste will be collected on Thanksgiving Day. 

If collections are interrupted due to a holiday schedule, garbage, recyclables, and yard waste will be picked up the day following your normal pick-up day for each.

County Government offices will be closed on both days. 

Lexington County

Curbside Solid Waste Collection

Franchise Residential Solid Waste Curbside Collection in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County will operate on a partially adjusted pick-up schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday week for those residents that generally have service on Thursday and Friday. 

Collections regularly scheduled for Thursday will be made on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, and those scheduled for Friday will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. All other service days will be collected as normal. 

Collection and Recycling Centers

All eleven Lexington County Collection and Recycling Centers will be open on a regular schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday week. 

They will be closed as usual on Tuesday and Thursday and open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Lexington County Edmund Landfill

The Lexington County Edmund Landfill, located at 498 Landfill Lane in the Edmund community, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25, Thanksgiving Day, and will be open as usual Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Landfill is closed on Sundays.

Solid Waste Administrative Offices

The administrative offices of the Lexington County Department of Solid Waste Management will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
