Lexington County Public Library representatives announced Monday that they will offer contactless curbside pickup as part of a “phased reopening.”

Each branch of the Lexington County Public Library is offering curbside service to help the community retrieve items efficiently and to reduce waiting times.

Those interested in requesting items should place a hold on them through the online library catalog. Library staff is also available to take hold requests by phone, however, longer wait times should be anticipated if calling.

Once items are ready for pickup, the library will arrange pickup appointments. Specific curbside instructions are given upon making appointments. Library card or photo ID is required for curbside pickup.

When items are returned, they will be “quarantined” for a period of time to ensure safety and cleanliness for the next borrower. Library buildings remain closed to the public until further notice.

Additional information and instructions for Lexington County Public Library’s curbside is available online.
