Cayce City Council announced Thursday that Assistant to the City Manager Rachelle Moody, has been appointed as the interim city manager.

“We are so thrilled to appoint Rachelle as interim City Manager. She has done such a phenomenal job for the City of Cayce in her positions as Special Projects and Grants Manager and Assistant to the City Manager, and we know she will continue to serve our City in the same manner! We are so proud of her and look forward to her continuing work and dedication to the betterment of our city,” Mayor Elise Partin stated,

Moody has been employed with the City of Cayce for nearly two years, and she has more than 11years of experience working in government and nonprofit organizations. Moody accepted the position as interim city manager when former City Manager Rebecca Vance took a new position with Dorchester County on March 15.

Moody came to the City of Cayce in July of 2016 as the Grants and Special Projects Manager. She was promoted to the Assistant to the City Manager position in December 2017, and was formally appointed Interim City Manager in March of 2018. Rachelle has extensive knowledge of local government administration, grant and project management, and community development.

A native of Kansas, Moody holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Wichita State University. Rachelle is passionate about local government and looks forward to serving the City of Cayce as the Interim City Manager.
