Officials from Cineflix USA announced Tuesday that Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz, and their team plan to return to South Carolina to film episodes of the hit series American Pickers in March.
The show is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique "picking" on the History channel. American Pickers follows Mike and Frank, two of the most skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America's most valuable antiques. The pair enjoys finding sizeable, unique collections and learning the interesting stories behind the items.
Show officials assure those interested in being on the show that COVID-related precautions are being taken while filming.
"We understand that with the proliferation of COVID-19, we are all facing very uncertain times. We at American Pickers are taking the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and protocols for safe filming as outlined by the state and CDC. While we plan to be in South Carolina this March, we will continue to re-schedule if conditions change for the worse. Regardless, we are excited to continue to reach the many collectors in the area to discuss their years of picking," the statement reads.
The Pickers are looking to meet interesting characters with remarkable and exceptional items. According to show representatives, Mike and Frank hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America's past along the way.
Representatives said the pair has seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and they're always looking to discover something they've never seen before. American Pickers is looking for leads, and would love to explore South Carolinians' hidden treasures.
Anyone interested with a large, private collection/accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend time looking through, can send their name, phone number, location and description of the collection (with photos) to firstname.lastname@example.org, through Facebook, or call 855-OLD-RUST.
