Bridge in Richland County soon to close for 15 weeks

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be replacing a bridge in Richland County, beginning Monday.  The bridge is on S-40-59 (Wildflower Road) over Cedar Creek Branch. I-77 patching job begins Thursday night, continues for 2 weeks

The contractor will be working on Interstate 77, Mile Marker 22 to Mile Marker 23 in the northbound lane. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the individual who died Wednesday morning in a vehicle collision. SCDOT One person was killed in a crash on I-77 before 6 a.m. Wednesday. As a result of the collision all southbound lanes of the  interstate were blocked.
