Lexington-based Prysmian gets $300 million deal with Verizon

Verizon Communications has awarded Prysmian Group a $300 million optical cable supply contract. Prysmian Group North America headquarters are in Lexington. The agreement supports Verizon’s U.S. network expansion around a next-generation fiber platform that will speed the implementation of 5G services. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reported that 10 people were killed on South Carolina roads from Friday, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, at midnight.
