The Lourie Center’s Annual Fall Festival is Coming!

Friday October 30, 2020, 9 am-1 pm

The Lourie Center will host our annual Fall Festival on October 30 and we want you to be a part of the fun!  We will be making some BIG changes this year to adapt to the "new normal" and to allow for social distancing.  For the first time ever, the Lourie Center Fall Festival will be an outdoor, DRIVE-THRU experience.  Please mark your calendars, share the news, and plan to attend.

The plan is to have festival guests slowly drive their cars through a carefully guided, designated area in our upper parking lot, which will be set with awesome music, festive decor, and plenty of business banners and signs. Festival guests will remain in their cars. This is a contact-free event.

The Lourie Center invites senior services and businesses in the Midlands to register as a vendor or sponsor. The Fall Festival is a great opportunity for your business to show support for the senior community and gain some extra visibility.

The 2020 theme is "Rockin' Halloween". Come dressed as your favorite Rock 'n Roll musician from any era!  The business displays and festival entertainment will be set up in the parking lot along both sides of the Drive-thru lane. We will all be socially distanced, and will wave, cheer, dance, and show off our Rockin’ Halloween costumes. Costumes are optional and festival guests can vote for their favorites. Winners will be announced at the end of the festival.

Bring your fun costumes, business signage/floor banners, maybe a camp chair, and help make the 2020 Drive-thru Fall Festival one to remember.

Executive Director Sandra Owensby encourages us all to “discover the Lourie Center in a socially-distant way this year. A Drive-thru festival is a brand-new experience for all of us. As always, the Fall Festival will be a spotlight on the many community resources available for seniors.”
