Homeless No More is excited to host their annual Race for the Place 5K and Fun Run to benefit homeless families with children in the Midlands. The race will take place on February 29th at 8:00 am at the corner of Bonham and Blossom Streets, near St. Joseph Catholic Church. It’s presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina and is certified by Columbia Running Club’s Tour de Columbia.

"Race for the Place is an opportunity for the community to show support for our homeless families and children while enjoying a run or walk," said Lila Anna Sauls, President and CEO of Homeless No More.  "The funds raised support important programs at Family Shelter and St. Lawrence as we help our families achieve independence."

Registration includes race T-shirt, raffle ticket, and finish line refreshments. The overall top three male and female winners will receive a cash prize. The largest/fastest teams will receive a non-cash prize. The youth fun run costs $15. It will start at 9:00 a.m. and is sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and Well Care. Participants of the fun run will receive a t-shirt, medal, and a celebration party.
