The Cost Plus World Market located at 210 Forum Drive in the Village at Sandhill will be closing its doors Jan. 25.
World Market is known for selling an eclectic variety of furniture, decor, apparel, coffee, wine, craft beer, and international food products.
According to information from a store representative, there are now liquidation deals in effect for furniture, decor, accessories, gourmet food, and other items. Currently, items are on sale ranging between 10 to 50 percent off. It is possible the sales will increase as the closing date approaches. However, a representative said "it just depends."
When asked if the store was going out of business, it was said that "the store is just closing." No additional information was provided.
The other two local World Market locations on Garners Ferry Road in Columbia and Sunset Boulevard in Lexington will remain open.
World Market Sandhill is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays until 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
