The Lexington town council approved a $250,000 investment for small businesses in the Town of Lexington Monday.

The council passed a dollar-for-dollar rebate program aimed at benefiting customers and in-town businesses. In-town water and sewer customers can send their receipts from money spent at in-town businesses to receive a rebate of up to $25 on their Town of Lexington utility bill.

Receipts must be dated on or after May 5, 2020 and must be sent in or postmarked by June 30, 2020.

A list of eligible businesses is available online at the Town of Lexington’s website. Additional questions can be directed to (803) 951-4630. The program will remain active while funding is available.
