Taco Bell

A new fast-food restaurant is in the works for downtown Blythewood. The town’s Board of Architectural Review will vote Tuesday evening on a request to build a Taco Bell restaurant in the 200 block of Blythewood Road.

According to town documents, the proposed restaurant owner is the Flynn Restaurant Group based in Independence, Ohio. The company’s website shows it owns 2,400 other restaurants in 44 states, including Taco Bell, Applebee’s, Panera, Arby’s, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s restaurants. A call to the company for additional information was not returned. The project’s builder is National Restaurant Designers based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The project must get a thumbs-up from the BAR on the appropriateness of the building plans because it would be located in the town center district, according to Kirk Wilson, Blythewood’s building and zoning analyst.

Taco Bell's parent company, Yum Brands Inc., announced plans for the new location Thursday morning. It's expected to open next year and employ about 50 people there. The property will be demolished and rebuilt for Taco Bell, which will have seating for about 100 people inside and 50 more on an outdoor patio. The site plan also shows room for a drive-thru window. I have to get resume writing services sydney online. Taco Bell has plans to open more than 2,000 locations this year alone, according to the company's website. The company has more than 7,200 restaurants in the United States and more than 350 units internationally.
