Anyone who has ever wondered what it might be like to work at the zoo could soon have the opportunity to find out.

Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will be holding a job fair Jan. 31. Open interviews will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to zoo representatives, it takes a strong team of talented, passionate, and enthusiastic individuals to operate one of the nation's best zoos and public gardens. Riverbanks will be hiring up to 150 qualified candidates for a variety of positions. Jobs are available in guest relations, attractions, grounds and housekeeping, and public safety departments. Applicants must also be courteous, outgoing, and have a flexible schedule - including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Appointments are not necessary. Anyone can participate in the open interview format of the job fair. The zoo also encourages guests visiting the park Jan. 31 to stop in for an interview.

Candidates are encouraged, but not required, to bring a resume to the job fair. Interviews will take place at the Riverbanks' Ndoki Lodge. Applicants should enter the zoo from the Greystone Boulevard entrance. Attendants will be on hand to assist with direction and parking.
