Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market donated boxed lunches to all City of West Columbia essential employees Wednesday.

“The support from the West Columbia community, since establishing this location almost a year ago, has been great,” said Primal Gourmet Owner Greg Martin. “During the COVID-19 crisis, we wanted to give back to the community and surrounding areas who have supported us over this year.”

Employees not working remotely throughout City of West Columbia departments including first responders and others met near the Community Garden City Hall to receive a burger cooked on-site by Primal Gourmet owner, Greg Martin. Meals included a pasta side dish and a drink.

“We’re coming up on the first anniversary of Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market joining the West Columbia community,” West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles said. “We are so thankful for all that they’ve done to improve our culinary offerings and give back to our community.”

Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market has distributed over 4,200 meal to frontline workers across the Midlands.
